About NBI

Nutritional Biochemistry, Inc. (NBI) is a global leader in delivering dietary supplements formulated and manufactured to the highest industry standards. Unlike other companies, research on nutrients used in some of NBI’s formulas has been evaluated by FDA scientists. The same research used to create powerful dietary supplements was used as the foundation for a spin-off pharmaceutical company, NBI Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

The team at NBI only creates products that they would feel confident taking themselves (or giving to their families). They’ve taken the steps to ensure that only the best raw materials go into their products, and that their manufacturing and quality assurance processes exceed industry standards.

The History of NBI

NBI was founded in 2006 by Dr. John Neustadt, a practicing clinician and researcher. As a clinician, Dr. Neustadt wasn’t able to find the formulas he needed to help his patients and family. His solution was to create Nutritional Biochemistry, Inc. (NBI). Prior to founding NBI, Dr. Neustadt had identified two distinct problems with what was available on the market: on the one hand, existing products on the market didn’t contain the dose or combination of nutrients used in clinical trials and actually shown to work. But on the other hand, other companies who would cite studies on their websites would use lower amounts of nutrients (or use entirely different nutrients) in their products that were not supported by the research they cited. Dr. Neustadt founded NBI to solve both of those problems.

Today, NBI maintains a consistently updated and expanding database of more than 10,000 medical journal citations and articles. This allows NBI to continue to innovate and create products that do what they say they’ll do – not because we think they will, but because that’s what independent studies show. That’s the NBI difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of ingredients does NBI use?

The ingredients that go into NBI products are premium quality and in forms that your body can absorb and use. For example, the MK4Ⓡ used in Osteo-KⓇ and Osteo-K Minis is the purest form of MK4 available on the market.

How bioavailable are the minerals in NBI’s products?

The minerals in NBI’s products are in their amino acid chelated forms, which are the most absorbable forms. While many other companies will skimp in this area, using the “-oxide” form of a mineral (which the body cannot absorb), NBI only uses bioavailable forms of minerals and other ingredients.

Does NBI meet high-quality manufacturing standards?

NBI’s manufacturing and quality assurance exceed industry standards. Just a few of the third-party manufacturing certifications NBI has include Natural Products Association, NSF Internationals GMP Registration Program, NSF Certified for Sport, Quality Assurance International (QAI), UL, and Health Canada.

Where are NBI supplements manufactured?

All NBI products are manufactured in the United States at GMP-certified and FDA-registered and inspected facilities.

Does NBI give back to the community?

Yes. NBI believes that community involvement is critical. That’s why they’re proud to give back to projects that enrich the lives of NBI customers, including Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation and the CNDA Board of Directors.

What is NBI’s shipping and return policy?

NBI’s shipping and return policies include details on delivery times, shipping costs, and procedures for returning products. These policies can be found on their website and may vary based on location and other factors.

Are there any recommended dosages for NBI products?

Recommended dosages for NBI products vary depending on the specific supplement. It's important to follow the dosage instructions provided on the product label or consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
