There are many different varieties of sage, however salvia officinalis is used in aromatherapy because it is both commercially and therapeutically important. It is still current in the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia, and especially wonderful when blended with citrus essential oils.
Suggested Usage
Natural essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care. Always dilute before any use other than aromatherapy.

If diagnosed with epilepsy or high blood pressure small amounts are fine, however it is safest to avoid it.
Sage should also not be used on babies or small children.
