The prolamine iodine (zein) ingredient in Prolamine Iodine is manufactured as a Lugol’s solution of 2:1, potassium iodide (KI) : iodine (I2). This yields a form (KI3) that creates stable bonds with starch and protein from organic corn meal that is grown at the Standard Process certified organic farm.
