BioCell Collagen Hydrolyzed Type II

It was easy to order NOW BioCell Collagen (hydrolyzed type II collagen) from NHC. The cost was better than average, and shipping was timely. The collagen capsules are relatively small, making them easy to swallow. Alternatively, the capsule contents can be rapidly dissolved in either hot or cold beverages without affecting their taste. The product does slightly upset my stomach unless taken with food. I have used NOW BioCell Collagen for only 3 weeks, not long enough to evaluate its ability to relieve knee pain. However, I can recommend another product sold by NHC, namely NOW UC-II (undenatured type II collagen), which noticeably reduced knee pain and stiffness after about 5 weeks of use. UC-II was taken for 2.5 months before adding the BioCell Collagen. The idea was to first relieve inflammation with the UC-II, a research-supported concept, and then provide added peptides from the hydrolyzed collagen to boost any capacity for joint repair that may remain at age 80.

I have a knee injury from 1999 that has never fully healed, in spite of 3 surgeries, Physical Therapy and over 24 years of me trying every supplement I have heard of. My knee is mobile, but it always hurts, sometimes more, sometimes less, but always some pain.So I decided to try this product on the suggestion of a friend, and I have only been on it for about a month and a half. I cannot say with certainty, since these things often take longer than that, but my knee does seem stronger and the pain is diminishing. It is definitely good enough for me to continue taking this for longer to see how it does.I would recommend trying it.
