    Good quality

    Probably the best form of Curcumin to take

    I wasn't sure whether I had to take this with food or not at first. Regular Curcumin supplements should be taken with fat because they're fat soluble, but liposomal supplements are a different breed. All the information I saw said it's better to take liposomal supplements on an empty stomach.     Excellent Supplement

    I started taking Liposomal Curcumin from CoreMed since past few months and find them to be remarkably helpful in managing pain in multiple joints in my body due to arthritis and/ or inflammation.

    Not as good as I hoped

    I have been using turmeric for many years. This brand looked very promising. I especially liked that it does not contain pepper and is formulated for sensitive stomachs. The capsules were easy to swallow and I did not have any gastric issues with this product. However, this bottle is only a 1 month supply as 2 capsules is 1 serving. Plus it did not seem as effective as with inflammation as other (less expensive) brands I have used.

    Not as bioavailable as other Curcumin formulations

    I'm all about curcumin. I've experimented with Longvida, Meriva, BCM95, CurcuminElite, C3 + Piperine, UltraCur, and probably a dozen other formulations.

    There is no doubt that liposomal curcumin is better than regular curcumin, but that is not the important question. The important question is: How much better is liposomal curcumin than regular curcumin, and how does it compare to the patented formulations I named above?

    Well, with this particular product, we really have no idea how bioavailable it is. After some digging, the closest thing I was able to find was that liposomal curcumin results in a 90% increase in blood plasma levels of curcumin over standard curcumin. For comparison, Longvida curcumin has had the pharmacokinetics tested and demonstrated a 6500% increase in blood plasma levels. Meriva showed nearly 1000% increase in blood plasma levels. So as far as I can tell, liposomal curcumin has very inferior bioavailability compared to a lot of other curcumin formulations on the market.

    Having taken this for a few weeks, I have noticed some anti-inflammatory effects, but not as much as I do with some other products, so I can't really recommend this curcumin.

    Curcumin in sourced in India

    Pro Liposomal(TM) Curcumin Capsules 500mg Non-GMO is a different kind of Dutch min supplement, it is supposedly absorbed better than other versions as it is liposomal. I have recently started taking this over my regular cheaper curcumin supplement. It doesn't cause me any stomach upset or any adverse reactions. The suggested dose is two capsules, it is easy to swallow. So far I've not noticed any difference from my other brand but I've only been taking it for a couple weeks, I take this supplement for chronic pain. This curcumin is sourced in India, not from China.

    Good quality

    All the specs are good on this one. Non china, 500mg of 95% curcumin, NO bioperine (we won't buy products with it as it can exacerbate leaky gut).
    Didn't notice any difference taking it, but I always take some form of curcumin so it might not show.

    Expensive, But Well Absorbed Form of Curcumin

    Turmeric has been gaining attention for several health benefits such as reductions in inflammation. The most effective aspect within turmeric is curcumin. Curcumin is unfortunately poorly absorbed and so there have been various different forms created to try to improve absorption. A common technique is to combine it with black pepper to improve absorption. This Pro Liposomal Curcumin supplement from Core Med Science takes a unique approach by encapsulating the curcumin through liposomal technology. This improves absorption and bioavailability so you are able to get the most out of your supplement. I would really like to see a study comparing the efficacy of these different forms to see which is best for absorption. But if you are looking for a good quality curcumin supplement and price is not an issue, then this is a worthy option.

    Works well for me

    I've had stomach issues in the past while taking turmeric, so I gave up taking it. Then I found these. I love that it is easier on my stomach, caused absolutely no issues. I also like that it doesn't have the black pepper that so many supplements have. The price is a bit higher than other brands, but to me this is worth it since I can stomach it, and it helps with my joint pains.

    Good but expensive

    This is a high quality Curcumin supplement. Is it 40 bucks high quality? Don't know. I typically take 1000 mg a day and with this supplement, I'll only get 15 servings which is not very much considering the price. You can get good quality supplements for cheaper than this.

    Quality Liposomal Curcumin. 250mg/capsule. GMP.

    I've noticed that there is a recent trend of vitamins and supplements being offered in a liposomal delivery manner. Companies are stating that it enhances the absorption and efficacy of their products. So, what is liposomal? "Liposomal nutraceuticals and health supplements have significant benefits compared to regular ones. Including: Higher bioavailability and absorption. Protects the nutrients from being damaged during digestion. Improved uptake into cells." "Essentially, Liposomal Encapsulation Technology consists of microscopic healthy fat particles called phospholipids along with vitamins. This technology has been used for many years to deliver certain drugs to specific tissues within the body without affecting the other parts of the body. At the heart of this technology are liposomes." (A liposome is a spherical vesicle having at least one lipid bilayer.) (various online sources)
    Curcumin is considered the compound, found in Turmeric, that offers health benefits regarding blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Curcumin is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, which is often used to alleviate joint pains, too.
    So, hopefully curcumin in a liposomal delivery structure will facilitate bio-availability and bio-absorption.
    According to the Supplement Facts, one capsule provides 250mg Curcumin, with 2 capsules being the suggested serving dose. If the liposomal aspect increases the efficacy/absorption of the curcumin, this then affords considerable efficiency.
    The product label has text noting that the supplement is Manufactured in the USA, in a cGMP (certified Good Manufacturing Practices) facility. This adherence to GMP standards meets quality control/assurance boxes for me.
    Overall, the product matches the pictures and statements in the product details. Nothing misleading or inaccurate. To have a curcumin supplement in a liposomal delivery system is welcome, with hope that it does enhance the absorption and effectiveness. Accordingly, this supplement garners a 4.75+ star rating, with a very high level recommendation.

    Quality liposomal curcumin extract for absorption & effective delivery to cells (pricey)

    This is a high-quality but pricey curcumin supplement. I like having a liposomal version available so I don't have to worry about any potential negative effects due to BioPerine, which helps with the absorption of my ordinary curcumin supplement. I appreciate that the brand provides more comprehensive information than many supplements, providing a good starting point for customers to do their own research before purchasing supplements. The product description states that this product is made in a CGMP (certified good manufacturing products) facility and the brand's website states that all of their products are organic and non-GMO + exceed FDA standards and that the liposomes are manufactured without solvents. The product description mentions a Certificate of Analysis for each batch of supplements, but I don't see how to access this information. This is a rather pricey supplement as the regular price of a 30-day supply (if two capsules are taken per day, as suggested) is $49.99. The cost is currently $39.99, still a rather hefty price, even for a well formulated supplement containing purified curcuminoids such as this one. The curcumin is sourced from India, and the manufacturing is in the US. I only take one capsule per day, and I have experienced no digestive upset of other negative effects. The capsule is fairly large (& colorful!) but it goes down easily and I don't taste anything and there is no aftertaste. The bottle arrived properly sealed. The price is the only reason I rated this at four stars rather than five.

    Bioavailable curcumin

    Curcumin, which has a host of health benefits, is derived from turmeric, but it's well known that the curcumin in plain turmeric powder isn't very easily absorbed, and some people also find it's hard on their stomach. So although many people take turmeric supplements that contain the raw powder, which cost much less than this supplement, it's a very inefficient way to get the active ingredient into your system. Turmeric powder contains only a small amount of curcumin. So the most potent supplements contain curcumin extract in a bioavailable form.

    Many turmeric supplements now contain a form of black pepper, which greatly increases curcumin bioavailability. Bioperine is one proprietary black pepper extract that's often used, but ground black pepper works as well. However, excessive amounts of black pepper can irritate the stomach in sensitive people.
    Liposomal technology is an alternative way to increase bioavailability.

    The liposomal technology of delivering drugs has been around since the 1960s. The technology has been used as a delivery system for vaccines and gene therapies (both injected) in addition to supplements taken orally. Liposomes are spheres made up of phospholipids which are the primary building blocks of cell membranes. They are manufactured synthetically from cholesterol and other forms of fat. Because it is made of the same material that cell membranes—or the skin of cells—are made of, they are absorbed better as they bond to these membranes first, facilitating delivery of nutrients. The downside is that it's more expensive than other forms of curcumin.

    Is it worth it? The science shows curcumin to be one of the most effective supplements available for a variety of conditions. Amibg the literally thousands of supplements you can pop in your mouth, curcumin is on the short list of most knowledgeable people, including health professionals. I take it every day. Whether liposomal curcumin is worth it may depend on whether you have problems with the supplements that contain black pepper. But if you're willing to pay the price for the highest quality, this supplement is a good choice.
