Flea + Tick Spray for Pets from Pet Naturals of Vermont uses a blend of specially formulated Brazilian oils from certified forests. Fleas and ticks can cause serious issues for pets and owners alike as they can transmit pathogens, cause skin irritation, and spread inside your home.
There are some 2,000 species and subspecies of fleas. They feed on blood and can leap up to 2 feet in single jump, this despite their very small size which makes them difficult to capture. Ticks also take blood from the host, however they are larger and move slowly, but because they partly burrow into the skin, they are difficult to remove. Fleas themselves are less likely to transfer a pathogen, instead their saliva can cause an allergic reaction that results in excessive scratching and even hair loss. Puppies and kittens are more at risk because fleas can cause low iron levels as a result of the pest taking up to 15 times their weight in blood.
Parasitic insects enjoy the heavy coats of cats and dogs, as this offers protection and makes them go unnoticed by owners. This is why prevention is so important, especially in warmer, humid months. Suggested Usage
- SHAKE VIGOROUSLY BEFORE EACH USE.
- Please read all directions carefully before application.
Spray generously on fur, including legs and stomach and then work into the coat if necessary. Depending on the thickness, type, and length of fur, the spray may require additional rubbing to get the product through the entire coat. Avoid contact with mucus membranes by covering the animal’s nose, mouth and eyes when applying near the animals head. Use a cloth or our handy pre-soaked FLEA + TICK wipes to apply the product on the animals face. Reapply every 2 ‒ 3 days or as needed before the animal goes outside. Reapply whenever the animal is thoroughly wet. Safe for daily use, if desired.
Avoid soaking the animal with the spray. Safe for use on puppies and kittens. Keep cap on bottle when not in use. This spray can also be used on the pet’s bedding and grooming tools. This formula is designed to be non-staining, but we recommend testing it on fabric or other surfaces before use.
