When George and Marianne Kostka, a couple with a passion for healthy nutrition, decided to build a supplement business in California in the '70s, they knew it would be based on natural ingredients. Although health advocates had just started to warn of the health risks related to highly processed foods, the Kostkas took it to heart.

Due to their belief in the life-giving energy of the sun, they named their brand Nature's Life and incorporated a graphic of the sun on product labels. The Kostka's mission was "To ethically provide quality products and services to improve nutrition and health." They devoted the brand to all-natural products - no artificial colors, flavors, fillers or sweeteners - with minimal processing.

The Nature's Life logo describes the company's promise to provide supplements that consist of pure, natural ingredients with the sun's positive energy: Sun. Food. Energy. The company guarantees that no other ingredients are added to its products than those listed on the labels.

Nature's Life became part of the Nutraceutical family of brands in 2003.
