Cedarwood oil by NOW is an aromatherapy essential oil that is 100% pure and natural. Soothing and comforting, Cedarwood oil extracts are best known for their warm, woody and balsamic aromas. Cedarwood oils also mix wonderfully with other oils.

Native Americans valued cedarwood for its healing and purification properties. They used it to combat respiratory infections.

Insects and rats hate the smell of cedarwood; therefore it makes a great repellent, especially against mosquitoes, moths, and woodworms. In fact, at one time cedarwood was combined with citronella and used as a commercial insecticide. Today, aromatherapists use cedarwood in a variety of capacities, from insect repellent to mood relaxer.

Suggested Usage

For aromatherapy use.

Breathe Easy Blend:
Add 1 drop each of cedarwood oil and pine oil, along with 5 drops each of eucalyptus oil and hyssop oil to a diffuser and enjoy.

For all other uses, carefully dilute with a carrier oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almondoil prior to use. Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference source for suggested dilution ratios. Natural essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care.
