Beta-Sitosterol Plant Sterols contains CardioAid-S Plant Sterol Esters, a combination of the ester forms of beta-sitosterol, campesterol, and stigmasterol.
Plant sterols are a type of plant-based fat found in food derived from plants or plant substances. They are structurally similar to cholesterol, so they help to restrict the absorption of cholesterol from the digestive tract.
In this way, CardioAid-S may help to support cardiovascular health by maintaining cholesterol levels already within the normal range. High cholesterol levels are a risk factor for heart disease.
A serving of Beta-Sitosterol Plant Sterols with Fish Oil supplies 1 gram (1,000 mg) of plant sterol esters in a base of fish oil.
