    AR-Encap contains glucosamine derived from shellfish.

    Curcumin has been shown to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) in animal studies. In vitro research revealed that curcumin decreased camptothecin-induced death of cultured breast cancer cells. Curcumin might also interfere with the absorption and efficacy of the chemotherapy drug irinotecan, used to treat colon cancer. The concurrent use of curcumin with these agents should be avoided.

    Recommended Notable Characteristic: It works A Naturopathic Doctor (ND) introduced me to this product many years ago. It certainly works at 6 capsule per day. The instructions indicate 4 to 8 capsules per day. Good anti-inflammatory ingredients that work at all levels, joints, muscles, ligaments, any body tissue etc. Contains the version or formula of curcumin called ""Meriva"" which has a some studies about it good absorbability. Not all curcumin supplements are the same regarding absorbability, this nutritional food is difficult to absorb. Some formula's use black pepper, some oils. The Meriva formula of curumin is designed for absorbability in a different manner than black pepper or oils. There is no repeat or flavor from AR-Encap. For diagnosed bone-on-bone, read about niacinamide which is not in AR-encap, it might be a good alternative after 3-4 months of use.

    They work so far...

    I have been taking these for 3 weeks and my knee pain is much less, not completely gone but significantly better, the swelling is gone and the grinding sound is also gone. The knees still pop and snap when I get up but no grinding while walking which is much easier to do. I am currently taking 3 a day. I haven't noticed any side effects so far.

    Finally a product that actually works

    I started using this supplement because of a referral from a friend that was testing it for an arthritic condition from which we both suffer. I must say, after a month of taking it my discomfort is about 90% gone. I still have one thumb joint that is not great but everything else feels pretty darn good. Just be sure to take with a full glass of water or have a small snack as it can cause slight heartburn if the capsules stick a bit in the esophagus on the way down.
