Product Details

Brand: Metabolic Maintenance
Category: Supplements
Product Code: methylpro-l-methylfolate-15mg-MTM-30-cpsls

Folate is important for the normal production of serotonin,
norepinephrine and dopamine; mood balancing and
motivating neurotransmitters. Folic acid is the most
common form of folate in supplements and fortified foods.
It needs to be converted to methylfolate for the body to
make use of it to form neurotransmitters. This is done
by the enzyme, methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase
(MTHFR). Unfortunately, about half the population has
genetic variations that reduce the ability of the MTHFR
enzyme to make this conversion. For this population,
L-methylfolate supplementation is far more effective in
providing this form of folate to support healthy mood.
