Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite from young bovine bone provides calcium, phosphorus, trace minerals, bone matrix proteins, amino acids and glycoaminoglycans in their natural forms and physiologic ratios found in whole bone.
Boron is included because it affects the composition, structure, and strength of bone. It also appears to be necessary for calcium and magnesium absorption, their adequate renal reabsorption, and their incorporation into the bone matrix.
