    Quercetin Bioflavonoids for Antioxidant Support

Quercetin Bioflavonoids from Allergy Research Group may function as a natural antioxidan and antihistamine agent.

Quercetin Bioflavonoids is hypoallergenic and may

    • Provide nutritional support for the vascular system
    • Have gastro-protective and cardio-protective properties
    • Favorably modulate the immune system

Quercetin is an antioxidant bioflavonoid found throughout the plant kingdom in rinds and barks. Food sources include onions, red wine, green tea and St John's wort.

Allergy Research Group sources its noncitrus, hypoallergenic plant quercetin from the pods of the Brazilian Fava d'Anta tree.

Quercetin Bioflavonoids combines this quercetin high-potency quercetin with additional stabilizing antioxidants to prevent spontaneous degradation of the supplement.

The supplement also includes bioflavonoids extracted from lemons, which are particularly high in bioflavonoids from the flavanone family.

This combination of quercetin and other bioflavonoids may boost your body's ability to control the release of histamine, a chemical your body releases during an allergic reaction.

It may also help manage other important signaling pathway metabolites, such as prostaglandins and leukotrines, whose functions include such things as regulating the contraction and relaxation of smooth muscle tissue.

Quercetin Bioflavonoids may also support the integrity of mast cells, possibly by stabilizing cell membranes, making them less reactive to allergens.

Overall, quercetin and other bioflavonoids appear to support the health of the vascular system by

    • Enhancing the strength and permeability of the capillaries
    • Supporting coronary vasorelaxation
    • Helping to protect cholesterol and tissues in the body from oxidative damage

Quercetin may also have gastrointestinal and cardiovascular benefits due to an ability to inhibit lipid peroxidation, or cell damage.

And some research suggests quercetin may also support immune system and prostate health.

My naturopath recommended this product for congestion and allergies. This is a natural antihistamine. It works great. Husband and son use also.

    Recommended in general

Use this primarily to reduce nasal and eye irritation in the springtime due to blooming plants. This does not cause drowsiness. This does not keep you awake either. Note though, your nose will be a little bit more runny than normal when taking 100 mg or more per day. Consider taking one in the morning and one in the late afternoon either with or without food. A secondary use is for external hemorrhoids. Take it by mouth. The part in this formula that supports hemorrhoid relief is rutin and hesperidin. The combination of this supplement orally and direct application of horse chestnut ointment by Planetary sold here should provide relief within 24 hours.
