Dr. Sherry Rogers: Why Watching Cholesterol Matters
Thwart Clots, Plaque and Brain Rot
Niacin is one of the most important B vitamins that you cannot take enough of with just a multiple vitamin B preparation. Let's just take a quick look at some of its actions to convince you that you need more than you are probably taking now.
1- B3 is not only a crucial vitamin for detoxification. It's also needed to 2- lower cholesterol, and 3- raise the good HDL cholesterol. 4- It also becomes an antioxidant by arresting the oxidation of the bad LDL cholesterol so that it cannot attach to heart and brain blood vessels walls and create plaque. And 5- B3 becomes anti-inflammatory by downregulating the genes that control this fundamental basis of all chronic disease.
But even more importantly, 6- niacin (after conjugation with glycine) actually reprograms the white blood cells and provides them with polarity and healing electrons. But recall in 2018 TW how to counter glycine destruction from GMO foods and their weed killer, Roundup.
Recipe to Begin to Repair Those Bones Before They Change Your Life
An inadvertent slip in the garden or even tripping at home on the edge of a rug can leave folks devastatingly incapacitated from hip, back, shoulder, neck or knee fractures. And yet simple bone building/repair and sustaining nutrients can prevent all this. What can you do? 1- Make sure that your vitamin D level is over 80 ng/mL on the commercial lab test (and not the non-therapeutic "norm" of 30 that is decades antiquated). Most folks can get perfect levels with Carlson's Vitamin D3 10,000 units Monday through Friday.
And 2- recall that vitamin K pulls the calcium off from the arterial wall and puts it back in the bone where it belongs. As you learned (in How to Cure Diabetes) an undercarboxylated osteocalcin is the best test. Start with one Carlson Vitamin K2 (45 ug) daily. Probably the next most important nutrient is Biocell Collagen II (1500 mg/3caps). And 3- the herb silymarin, also known as milk thistle, has a long history of improving bone as well as liver. Start with one daily Super SiliPhos, with proven availability.
Sulfur rescues Alzheimer's, Cataracts, and Hormone Deficiencies
Remember from past TW one of the ways that researchers can create 500 rats with cataracts is to merely give them FDA approved Tylenol (acetaminophen). It overwhelms their sulfate detoxification pathways. Likewise, the same pathways are needed to prevent Alzheimer's. And in fact, all diseases depend upon sulfur detoxification as well as the metabolism of all of our hormones. Fortunately, you learned how to make your own best sulfur and boost your detoxification in 2018 TW. Refer back, and make sure you are using it once a day (and chelated Moly B). Since it's preferable to take it on an empty stomach, many prefer to set it out and have it ready to drink at night when they wake up to urinate.
Healing is a Package Deal
As an initial caveat, folks love to latch onto one nutrient and hope that that's going to be the end-all be-all for cutting whatever they have. Curcumin is an herb from the turmeric root that has a wealth of data supporting its improvement of Alzheimer's (but only one form was proven bioavailable). But so do magnesium and green tea and R-Lipoic Acid, NAC, and multiple other antioxidant nutrients. But you also need Niacin Time to Dilate the brain vessels to allow absorption of nutrients. And the synapses where nerves join to talk to one another must be healed. This requires nutrients like Acetyl-L-Carnitine to carry the fats like Cod Liver Oil and its anchor PC Powder and the eight forms of real vitamin E to the nerve membranes. Of course, many more nutrients are involved, depending on your personal deficiencies. That's why it is optimal to see what you are missing. Your total package of deficiencies must be addressed in order to heal anything that is as serious as Alzheimer's.
Another problem is that just as no man is an island, no nutrient stands alone. Nutrients work as an orchestration in the body's chemistry. Because as you also see from the brief references if you don't also repair the synapses or the areas where nerves join to communicate with one another, or don't repair the hippocampus, the area of the brain where new memory is made, or you don't get rid of the body inflammation that stems from damaged chemistry, or you don't repair the gut (where 90% of your neurotransmitters or brain chemicals that control mood and memory are made), then you don't adequately absorb your nutrients and instead foster autoimmune diseases, etc. Or if you don't repair your zinc deficiency, then you cannot convert vitamin B6 to its active form to rescue hidden brain deterioration, quinolinate), etc. You never get well.
